The Indian Society for Heat and Mass Transfer (ISHMT) has been acting as a nodal agency in India, stimulating research workers engaged in various areas of heat and mass transfer and bringing them together for fruitful interaction and exchange of ideas.
Members of the Indian Society for Heat and Mass Transfer (ISHMT) based in and around Thiruvananthapuram met on March 30, 2016 at LPSC Valiamala, Thiruvananthpuram, and decided to form ISHMT-Regional Chapter, Trivandrum. Subsequently, it was registered as a a Society under the Travancore–Cochin Charitable Societies Registration Act 1955.
